Ok, I just did a search (in this section as my truck is a 95) and the only thing I found related to what i want was for a '96 aerostar so I don't know if this will be the same or what, I know I will most likely have to pull the dash and cluster (uuug) but before I do that whats the simplest and easiest way for some one to replace the lights behind the clusters as some seem to be burnt out (hey I expected things like this on a 16+ year old truck...) either with same type of color bulb or different color(s)? would any one have a picture/bulb type so I know what I should get?
My biggest concerns are having to tear out the dash and cluster which i never did and having to take my truck out of commission for an unacceptible amount of time (primary vehicle) so any help to make things fast and easy would be grateful!!
wes,
You should really add some pics to the writeup! before and after and some inbetween to show people what you did... I'm sure that will have to wait until next time though...
I would have made a write up but I don't have a 92-96/7...
Dude I purchased one of those $13 white overlay with indiglo technology from EBAY and never looked back. Super easy to install and lighting looks as modern as any new truck. Some of the best money I have ever spent on the truck. The white gauges give it a modern look during the day and the nighttime coloring is FANTASTIC. The kit I purchased didn't require removing of the needles, but you will need to be patient and careful working around the needles during the install. I have some pics....but haven't had time to upload.
