I was just wondering if anyone has pictures of the interior of their big Bronco they would like to share that feature swapped in seats. I'm looking at putting conversion van seats from an early 90's Econoline in my 78 and was wondering if anyone has done the same. It's going to have fully-reclining captains chairs up front and a rear seat that folds into a bed for camping. I'm interested in seeing swaps that are the same as what I'm doing and on a 78/79 but if you have done something similar regardless of the year, show it off.
I think that the front seat brackets are the same the from 78-96 Bronco/truck.
As for the rear that might be difficult, so if it reclines into a bed, I take it that it wont fold up against the front to open up more cargo room?
Also, the Previous owner, did a full leather Eddie Bauer swap into my XLT. It looks nice and they are super comfortable, but alas the rear does not fold into a bed.
They definitely changed between 79 and 80. I know that my 92 and 93 have the holes in the floor for both the buckets and the bench seat that were options at the time.
No part of this swap is going to be difficult. The van captains chairs brackets are flat and it won't take much to fab up a flat welding surface. The rear will be fine too. The folding seat/bed fits just fit and all that it needs is to have new holes drilled and bolted down. No it doesn't fold forward like the original seats but this particular rear seat I'm using doesn't take up any more room than the original does in the seated position. If I need to haul something in the back then I just fold down the bed, throw some plastic over it, and place my items on top. Like this it actually takes up about the same space as the stock Bronco seats folded forward. If I have something large or dirty to haul I'll just use my F350. The Bronco is for cruising and camping in comfort and not for hauling anyway.
So does anyone have interior pics or what? I'd still like to see some plush, custom Bronco seats.
I don't think plush and custom bronco seats are a very common pair. Usually its a MOAB style seat or bench for that rugged look. Sounds like you got it all layed out, we want pics when its done. Might be the first comfy Bronco seat upgrade on here.

I know, so many people who own Second Gen. Broncos beat the crap out of them and don't give them any love. I have other 78/79's that I use for off road purposes but this one I'm doing is going to be a "Do All" family hauler than will be nicely cared for and maintained. I want to be comfortable when I take us on a road trip and those factory bucket seats are horrible for the long haul. I have a bad back and the stock seats don't recline at all. The van seats I found fully recline along with the back seat so passengers can sleep while being driven. I'll post pictures when I'm done but I was hoping there would be at least one FTE member who has done this before who has pictures since this seems like a very common and easy swap.
