YA it was my truck and as far as the arrowheads go you just got to look in the right places. PLOWED FEILDS [best after a rain] Creeks is were you will find the best looking . PIC. IS OT BUT NOW THAT YOU BROUGHT IT UP. THE white one is my latest find. Heck if a one leg man can find one anybody can. LOL
I know it's comparing apples to oranges, but I used to have the exhaust dumping just in front of the rear-end. I had it turned out right in front of the tire and picked up a very annoying drone in the cab while pulling my small camper. I am going to change it back to where it was.
Check your local vehicle laws before you exit the exhaust in front of the rear wheels. My truck was fine in New Hampshire with that setup but when the new owner took it to Massachusetts it would not pass inspection...
He had to run tailpipes out the rear before it would pass...
Here's a pic of what I have to work with. This is lowered 4" with a TCI kit, you can see the shocks are now behind the axle and there's a new crossmember. Under the axle would work, but "they" say you shouldn't run the exhaust under the axle, only over. Why?
Rusty, I think a good muffler guy can loop over the axle with a near 180-deg bend, then run under the rails to the rear. Gotta be mindful of the bed wood, maybe use a heat shield there. I've seen worse, but without the wood concerns.
