Header questions...
I am considering going with a set of headers.
who makes decent headers for these trucks?
I'd prefer something that isn't gonna leak
I am under the impression that Long Tubes will give the most HP gains (mostly in upper RPM ranges)
and Shorty headers will give more Low End Torque
is this the case for my 460ci V8?
which makes me lean towards some Shorty or Mid Length headers
I already have True Dual 2.25 or 2.5" exhaust (with some 36" glasspacks)
my experience is only with late model Fuel Injected GM LSx engines
I've got a set of Staneless 1-7/8" Pri / 3" collector Kooks LongTubes on my 11 Second GTO

For you situation long tubes are going to be cheaper, more efficant, and better results BUT you also need to run the correct diameter pipe and the long your exhaust is the more low end torque you'll have. You go to the races you ever seen the guys who run header extentions? its to increase the torque. Now if your 460 is stock then I would run a set of long tubes with 2 1/4 pipes and either exit in front of the rear wheels or all the way out the back.
I know there's some crappy vids out there if you search KrautBurner GTO

here's my old PhotoBucket gto at bremerton raceway pictures by krautburner - Photobucket

Dyn vid: My car is at 4:16
this was a weak run

I'm the guy in the hatch of Ryan's Camaro at 5:16 (we had 4 people (over 200lbs each) in the car, it kept spinning the drag radials on the rollers)
