stupid a$$ newb question

I have an 80 Bronco, and an 82 F100.

do I have kingpins?

I'm new to Ford as well as 4x4's and learning. I don't see anything in between the balljoints so I guess I don't.

thanks

I am not sure about the Bronco, but the F100 has ball joints. I suspect the Bronco has ball joints too.

"I don't see anything in between the balljoints....." - if you HAVE ball joints, you DON'T have king pins - it's one or the other.

80-86 4wd all have ball joints (F100/150/bronco), as do 2wd F100/F150 from 83-86.
80-81, and some very early 82 2wd F100/F150 have king pins.

So I would say that no, you don't have any king pins under either truck.

I think they stopped using kingpins in 1979 and went to ball joints in 1980 model year on F150s.

The 80-81 2wd F150 uses king pins, and I believe the same goes for the 2wd F100 in 80-81. Ball joints did not appear on 2wd F150's until 82, but it could have been a mid-year change.
