Wagoner Thermoquiet

Was shopping around for some Akebono's, but found some Wagner Thermoquiet at RockAuto Auto Parts for real cheap. Before I pull the trigger, I just want to make sure these are good buy.

WAGNER Part # QC1012 price is $31.79
WAGNER Part # QC1083 price is $33.79

The also got $30 rebate going on for set of front or back. And I will need for all four wheels. They say optional ceramic - not sure what that means. Want to go ceramic to reduce brake dust.

I also show another higher priced Wagner's

WAGNER Part # EX1083 priced at $47.49
WAGNER Part # EX1012 priced at $47.49

The Akebono's do not say anything about 'optional ceramic' Seems they are always ceramics.

Any thoughts appreciated.

From my research you may not wanna use ceramic cause they are hard on the rotors.
The semi-met thermoquites are suppose to be the ticket for low dusting. Even the guys on a Benz forum agree. Got some watched on ebay for $35 shipped.

I have Thermoquiet QC1083 on the front of mine and have been pleased with them. The rear at the time were not available in Ceramics so i used the semi-metallic T/Q on the rear. Next time I will use the ceramics front and rear. That is a great price from Rock Auto, too.

ThermoQuiet Wagners are ceramic which is an "optional" friction material.

I have a set and there is no noticeable accelerated wear on my rotors. They are quiet and they are CLEAN.

That's a good price.
