update with dad

my dad went into the doctor the other day and they rose his blood pressure medicine.
they fount that his prostate is swollen and he has a lump on one of his testicales.
he has to get a unltrasound to find out what the lump is.
he told me and wen i heard it i wanted to crawl in a hole and sit here.
but im more determined to get him involved in my life then ever before.
he has missed out on alot of things but wecan build off the past for a better future.
this weekend we are gonna go to a bone yard and look for truck parts.
that feels alot better telling someone.
i dont know what i will do without him.
i know me and him went a few rounds alittle bit ago, but i forgot about it and i want him to be in my life more.
thought someone would of liked to know how me and my dad are doing.
but im gonna get goin before i start to cry.
see you guys later

Swanny,
Sorry to hear about your Dad. My mom is a cancer survivor and is currently in her third remission. The doctors and treatments are getting better all the time. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.
God Bless,

swanny, im thinking of you and yours. i am a cancer surviver myself(see users announcenents under doctors) i am still fighting, somedays i feel like im losing, but knowing that everyone cares makes it easier. positive attitude helps so much, when im mad or frusterated it makes the cancer so much harder to deal with, so stay positive! your dad and family need you right now trust me! your in our prayers!

update with dad

Swanny,
My prayers are with you and your dad, my dad has always been my best friend and the rock of our family. In November, out of the blue, he had to have 6 bypasses on his heart, then developed diabetes on top of that. I feel for you man, dad's are tough though, so hang in there.

swanny, we've not talked before but when I read your post a lot of memories came back to me. My stepfather died of cancer in 87 when I was 21. We worked on my truck together and these are some of my best memories of him. You spend as much time with your dad as possible. It's the small things you do together that are important.

Good luck and stay positive!!

Swanny,

Our prayers are with you, and like others here have stated, "just be with him". It's all the little things you miss most; I can vouch for that. I've lost my share of friends and family and the recurring theme when they do start to go is "just be you when you're with them; just like any other day; be upbeat and real"... just like you'd want them to be if the situation were reversed.

You show a lot of strength by sharing your feelings with us. Be strong now that it's needed most.

God bless,
Daryl & Family
