Swanny,
Sorry to hear about your Dad. My mom is a cancer survivor and is currently in her third remission. The doctors and treatments are getting better all the time. We will keep you and your family in our prayers.
God Bless,
Swanny, I'm sorry to hear about your dad I know what you're going through I lost my dad of cancer in 1999 but I wasn't as young as you are, I ve also lost 3 brothers yonger than me 2 from drugs and 1 in an auto mobile accident there's nothing I can say that can ease the pain I hope everything turns out ok.
swanny, im thinking of you and yours. i am a cancer surviver myself(see users announcenents under doctors) i am still fighting, somedays i feel like im losing, but knowing that everyone cares makes it easier. positive attitude helps so much, when im mad or frusterated it makes the cancer so much harder to deal with, so stay positive! your dad and family need you right now trust me! your in our prayers!
Swanny,
My prayers are with you and your dad, my dad has always been my best friend and the rock of our family. In November, out of the blue, he had to have 6 bypasses on his heart, then developed diabetes on top of that. I feel for you man, dad's are tough though, so hang in there.
Cory
thanks you guys.
my mom had cancer also but they removed it all and now her left leg is swollen due to a blockage.
my grandma died from lung cancer a few years back.
i guess you can ay my family has a bad reputation with cancer.
i hope there isnt really anything bad with my dad.
he means so much whe your 18 and 3 months till graduation.
all of you guys are in my thoughts and prayers also.
thanksfor thesupport and ill keep you guys undated as he gets it checked out.
swanny, we've not talked before but when I read your post a lot of memories came back to me. My stepfather died of cancer in 87 when I was 21. We worked on my truck together and these are some of my best memories of him. You spend as much time with your dad as possible. It's the small things you do together that are important.
Our prayers are with you, and like others here have stated, "just be with him". It's all the little things you miss most; I can vouch for that. I've lost my share of friends and family and the recurring theme when they do start to go is "just be you when you're with them; just like any other day; be upbeat and real"... just like you'd want them to be if the situation were reversed.
You show a lot of strength by sharing your feelings with us. Be strong now that it's needed most.
