istrument panel doesnt light up
my instrument panel doesnt light up ..but my turn signals and brake light works..but not the light where it says high beam. what can be the problem, i saw the headlight switch was shot so i grabbed one from the junkyard and it still nothing. keep in mind the switch i took off has 7 terminal prongs...all the autoparts stores have a 8 terminal prong switch..i am really lost and hoping it is nothing big and expensive.

hey man these trucks have a common problem w this the problem is the dash cluster get brittle over the years from the heat n where the dash light bulbs go in the cluster crumbles n it looses contact so that would b the next thing i would look at (i went through 3 clusters before i found one that was good so ck them good before u get one if this turns out to b the problem)
