Yo- Bronc....I'm in Oregon so I might be able to drive over and pick them up. E-mail me Proeliator(No Email Addresses In Posts!) with your Phone # and we'll see what we can't swing.
Nevermind.......I must be getting dyslexic in my old age. I thought it read 79 but when I checked back on this thread I see its actually a 76. Still a good axle, but I'm holding out for a 78-79, or a dynatrac when the wifes not looking
I would like to find out more about shipping costs. But I'm very interested in the axles and T-case. Can anyone tell me about how much I can figure for shipping.

Wow, you guys will pay 1200 for a 30 spline D60 down there!? Most serious wheelers won't even bother with a 30 spline. Not trying to dog Bronczilla, cuz it is a good deal, and heck, I'm thinking about buying them myself. Although in my case, its mostly for the disc brakes. What some people don't seem to realize is that the Ford D60s before 1978 (30 spline) had axles nearly the same size as the HD Dana 44s that came in the F-250s. Here is a picture of an early 30 spline D60 next to the '78 & up D60:
Also, they had to notch the knuckle in these early axles which weakened them. In otherwords, you are getting more weight with only a little more strength. I almost didn't post this because I don't want to steer any buyers away from Bronc's sale....its still a great deal. But I was compelled to post this because so many people are fairly uniformed about these Ford axles.
Yes, the axle shaft diameter is nearly the same, but its the U joint size where the 60 excels at. Most of the breakage I have seen (and had myself) with the 44 is broken u- joints, which usually takes out the axle ears. I rarely see them break or twist at the spline or in the shaft length, except from age.
And its a easy fix to upgrade to 35 spline inners (and outers if you want). Most guys are installing lockers at the same time, so the swap is feasible.
My thoughts exactly....for less money you can build the D44 stronger than the older D60 for less than the purchase price...and have less weight and more clearance. You can upgrade the older D60 with the stronger axles but they cost big $$$......add that to the initial purchase price and its not worth it. I just need friggin disk brakes...I hit the deep water and I might as well not have brakes. Anyways, glad you sold that, you always seem to have good deals. I'm just jealous you have so much sweet stuff laying around
Speaking of sweet stuff you have a need for a running 400M? Have a 460 that needs rebuilt too. $400 for both or 200ea.
