Just bought a 2003 F-150 Lariat and it has the electronic automatic temp control (has digital read of temp in car and outside instead of normal ***** for temp control). But, it's in degrees C and I need it in degrees F. I've called the service dept. where I bought it and they couldn't tell me over the phone for some reason. If anyone knows how to do it, I appreciat the help. I've read the entire manual and can't find how to do it anywhere.

 

A couple months ago I was PDI'ing a new truck and had to change from F to C. I couldn't find the info anywhere so I called Ford's Technical Hotline and they told me how to do it. It can be switched between C° and F° display readings by pressing the MAX A/C and DEFROST buttons simultaneously for at least 1 second.

Worked like a charm - thanks a bunch. Man that was buggin' the hell out of me. Why wouldn't they put that in the owner's manual? Makes me wonder how much other stuff I can do that I don't know about.

 

Yeah you really do have to wonder why Ford wouldnt put that info in the owner's manual. I asked all our salesmen and they had no idea and I couldnt find it in the manual. It took Hotline about 10 minutes to find someone there that knew how it was done.
