I have a 2006 F250 turbo diesel - got it used 18 months ago. Not had any problems - love my truck. On Sat. I filled up (had 1/4 tank already) headed out for a 2 hour trip. 45 min. in to the trip I was going (55mph) up a mtn. and she began to sputter (made a bit of a grinding noise) and the tach dropped - but did not completely cut out. It happened a second time - so I turned around to head home. It happened once again - all tree incidents within a 5 minute time frame. Then it didn't happen again the rest of the way home. I pushed it hard a couple of times going up another incline - ran clean. Could it have been crud in my fuel? Should I have it checked out? (not really in the budget right now if I don't have to)
