2001 F250 7.3 I changed the glo plugs, valve cover gaskets and glo plug relay. It still runs rough and will not smooth out when it warms up like before, also the check eng lite stays on and doesn't go out when it warms up like before. Anybody got an idea???
Are you sure that you got all eight injector plugs nice and snug? I helped another member here with GP's and we had to go back under the covers to find a injector that was not getting juice because the plug got knocked off. That also threw the SES light and it ran real rough.

So it's doing the same thing like it was before? Do you have access to a scan tool?
I don't know what your problem was before, but has the miss changed any? I've accidentally knocked an injector plug loose while sticking a valve cover back on. It causes a miss and the check engine light to come on. Do you know how to ohm the connector to check for a loose plug?
Yes, if you unplug the connector outside the valve cover, you'll find 9 flat pins inside there. The front two and rear two are for glow plugs. If you want to check them, ohm those pins against battery ground. A reading of less than 2 ohms indicates a good connection and good glow plug.
The 3rd, 4th, 6th, & 7th pins are for your injectors. Ohm those pins against the center common pin and look for a reading of less than 5 ohms. If you get a reading of open or infinity, then that one is likely unplugged.

That might have been me. I knocked mine off. I quess when I was manuvering the cover back in place.
Thanks to everyone for the help found #2 injector unplugged. Everything is great now and the UVC was the original problem.
Cool, IIRC #2 was Billybob69's injector that go unplugged when we buttoned his up the first time - knocked it off when setting the valve cover on. Glad you got it fixed.
