cruise control and multifunction switch
'87 Bronco II. I started noticing what I thought was weird behavior from my cruise control last week. The cruise would cut out when I would use the right turn signal. Went to the library and looked up wiring diagrams from Motor and Mitchell and found out that the cruise control will go into standby mode if the hazard lights are turned on. Since the hazards and turn signals all go through the same switch unit on the steering column, I think I have a problem with the multifunction switch. So I'll be taking the old switch out and probing the connections to see if I can see a short in there. Does this sound like a normal way for the switch to fail?
