Idk what the big deal is... I've scrapped out a many a "good" pickups. I bought them, took the stuff off I wanted, sold some other parts, and scrapped the unusable stuff. Usually I come out ahead on $ and have a stack of parts left over. (Currently scrapping a 92F350 crew with a 7.3 and a service bed, all that's wrong is the motor is shot)

If its in pieces, sometimes its just not worth trying to fix/restore it.

ya i was recantly at a local pick a part and stumbled acros a clean 1991 4wd short bed night, it was a real shame for it. one of only a handfull of factory 4x4's from what i later found out.. but somebody scrapped it.

im a diesel guy one day i went into a jy and there sat the CKEANEST 1986 f250 4x4 4 spd 6.9 id ever seen it was mint only thing wrong is the kid that had it didnt like the get up and go his daddy bought him a powerstroke and sent it to the scrap yard

Mason isn't too far of a drive.. Some part of me wants to go pick it up, drop my 5.0 engine and transmission in it and get rid of my 4wd. LOL. Or drop a 600+hp 7.3L PSD in it... Hmmmmmmmm......

i know a lady who was trying to sell me a, i forget the year, but it was a regular cab, short box, flareside, nite, for $2000. all original and whatnot. if i had the money i definitely would have bought it. it was in pretty decent shape too

BLAH BLAH BLAH that 300 would out tourqe that 302 you got in the 4x4 any day tell me it wont cause youll be lying buddy

....X 2 , they may tow ok , but you won't get anywhere in a hurry , they just won,t get out of there own way....

, That all you guy's have are sharp and Ford Tough... IMO, the best lookin years and with a little TLC still best and hardest workin trucks out there

If a 300-6 won't get out of it's own way, then it's not running right.

I have a '94 F150 4.9L with E4OD Aaand
A '94.5 Lincoln Continental with a 4.6l and unknown tranny.

For the same getup and go? Yup.

Can the 4.9l scream to the 6,000RPM that the 4.6l can? Nope.
Can the 4.6l tow? Not as well as the 4.9l

If I had to pick? the 4.9l would be in the car as well the truck.

I had a 93 2wd reg cab long bed with 4.9 5sp , bought it new , so there were no problems with it , i used it for work and to tow a 21ft center console boat , it hauls the loads fine but the thing i didn't like was on the hwy at 60 mph , try to pass some one , the throttle responce is allmost nothing , compared to the 95 302 i used to tow the boat with , thats why i say they won't get out of there own way , but thats me , i just don't like slow...Lew
