E4OD Shifting odd

OK so after I have installed my new exhaust, intake and chip I have noticed that when I am on the throttle hard it shifts real nice from first to second but kind of does a shift, slip, shift kind of thing going from second to third. I don't know when the torque converter locks up maybe that is what is going on but what ever the case it doesn't feel right. I have never stayed in it much after it shifts into third because at that point I am probably already going a couple hundred dollars over the speed limit.

I'm not really sure how it shifted before the upgrades, I hadn't been using the truck much during the winter and then when I did use it I never got on it like I have after the upgrades.

If you take the chip out, does it go away? Sounds like you are feeling the TC lockup.

I haven't tried removing the chip yet, I have thought about it but that is as far as I got. Been too busy with other things, I will try that this week.

Should the TC lock up so soon after the 2 - 3 shift? It doesn't feel right. I have kind of big tires 315s and the speedo is a little off would through things off a little?

Mine locks up somewhere around 32 mph if I'm just easing into it.

Mine does the same thing kinda... I have a 96 stroker with a 6637 intake 3" dp to 4" exhaust and TS chip. 1st to 2nd shifts good then 2nd to 3rd slips in... however when it wants to shift it sorta starts to shift into 3rd then goes back into 2nd then goes into 3rd.... its weird. Though mine has a 4r100 tranny in it from Ford under warranty but still acts like a slush box. once the warranty is up I'm goin to a BTS

So I removed my chip and it still shifts good going into 2nd and then under hard throttle it seems to shift good going into 3rd but I had to let off right away just as it shifted to either overdrive or lock-up. Under half throttle it still shifted good going into 2nd but then into 3rd? Two things seem to happen very close together either lock-up then 3rd or 3rd then lock-up, by the way at that point I had OD turned off.

So how can I tell if it is going into lock-up or shifting gears that I am feeling? Hum, need a way to control the lock up.

So maybe with the chip it is locking the TC, shifting into 3rd, unlocking the TC for a split second then locking it back up....... I don't know but it seems weird, what do you guys think?
