i need to know if its possible to get spark to distrubuter.
it is a 77 300-6 that i purchased before it was to be crushed at scrap yard.

i have started motors (gm) with a points distributer with motor on a engine stand.
i would like to do this with this motor, i can turn engine over as the trans and starter are still hooked up.....but it will be no go if i cant power up distrubuter and/or coil.

anybody ever done this? let me know how you did it. thanks

 

just run a hot wire to the +of the coil

 

easy enough,but there are three wires and a plug that come out of the dizzy,i would assume i need those hooked up....this may be a trial and error thing for me

 

You have to have the electronic control module, if you have that it is not that difficult.
