Turbo slack?

So as most of you know I never get a break much less catch up on the maintenance with my truck do in the midst of pulling my vc's I noticed a strange tint of oil in my icc pipes so checking furthur into it this is what I find---Check out this video on YouTube:

So my ? is you all know my egt's run really high most of the time, is this what caused my turbo to wear like this? Or could it be from over boosting? Maybe even a combination of both? Now I'm not sure if u should upgrade or rebuild it. Besides a he'll of a difference in price would It be worth it beings how I still haven't gotten my injector issue worked out yet! Urghhh

Time to get that 38r or a rebuild kit.

I vote 38R! Easy to spend other peoples money!!!!

That definitely is worn out!

With that much in and out play. I'd say it's past a kit. It will at least need a compressor housing backplate, too. Doubling the cost. Go big or go home. lol

Thanks Robin. I figured David should fix his problem before he start with the 38r and bigger injectors, also new tunes. I wonder what we are missing on his deal.

Good idea. Swap the turbo and move on to the next thing(s).

I would go with the 38r if your funds are there, in a few months I can give you my stock turbo, its due for a rebuild, I have about 1/8'' play in and out so its still rebuiladable, I bought a van turbo on CL a few weeks ago Im just waiting for the funds for bellowed up-pipes and the flange I need for my down pipe

and I thought my old turbo was worn out! The exhaust side of my old one was burnt/flaked off like that. Thanks to Ricky for the loaner.

I just went and picked up ricks turbo. He must of thought I needed some encouragement and had me drive his truck! I really could of done without that. That thing is a beast!

i know this feeling, jason (skyskijason) made me drive histruck a few weeks back. between the great weather this weekend and driving his fast truck im missing mine even more
