loosing boost
96 7.3L origally i thought i was loosing boost through the manifolds that bolt to the heads, i find out they use the grey silicone to seal them and it looked like the silicone wasnt sealing, as i could see a residue spreading away from the manifold, so i go to ford and pick up the silicone and go to take it apart and on the right head (where i could see the leak) during the disassembly i find the orange rubber tubes that connect between the turbo manifold and the manifolds on the heads (compressor side) had loose clamps. after getting a bunch of crap out of the way i look the situation over and i see there is no way to get the front bolt out without removing the hpop and timming gear cover (i tried). so i pull out the haynes book and it is saying i have to pull the engine, oil pan, oil pump and pickup to get the front cover off to remove 1 bolt. so i put it back together, cleaned and tightened the rubbers, and noticed it had better power. i cleaned the area where i could see it leaking, and will monitor to see if it is still leaking. my question being, is there a trick someone can share to get that bolt out with out removing the engine and timming cover?

you can get all the bolts out besides the bottom one at the very front but ford was thinking when they made it cause that hole on the manifold is notched so you just loosen the bolt and then slide the manifold out just put sd manifolds on my engine last week and i thought i would have to pull a bunch apart until i noticed the sd ones were notched on that bolt and the obs ones are to.
