Can anyone help?

HI, I'm brand new at this so bear with me please. I have a 1951 F1 and i would like to put a Fulton style visor on. All i see are visors for split windows. Did they make them for my ford? will a chevy one work? And does anybody have one for sale?

Thank you, Randog

Welcome to FTE,randog. If you go on Ebay and search for Fulton, there's usually a few, sometimes quite a few,for sale, along with brackets, etc. That's a good place to start, and there may be members here who will respond with more specific info.Good luck.

search results have a timed lifetime.. you would have to re-execute the search in the link.. those didn't.. they referred to the already execute search.

Back to topic, as I recall no one ever made a visor for the trucks. You have to modify one to the correct width, and drill your roof for the center support.

I've always wondered how much they block the view, it's bad enough if you're first in line at a stoplight.

Personally i always thought that the visors were a touch too big. I was thinking more of an eyebrow type which is my speak for a much shorter and smaller visor. It would have to be custom made but then again most everything on my truck is custom made anyway.... When I can get past the "repair" stage I am going to look into a small eyebrow type of sunvisor.

PS Yes I will take pictures....

Welcome to the board!

Personally I'm not a big fan of the visor look on these trucks. In my opinion they make the truck look a bit too "south valley" (which in my neck of the woods goes hand in hand with 13" true spokes and hydraulics).......no offense meant to those who strive for true spokes and hydraulics....just not my thing

I also wondered what kind of forces those generate at 60 mph -- a speed the trucks rarely achieved back in the day.

Put on a visor, hang a swamp-cooler in the window, maybe hang a couple desert water bags up front, and you're good to go.

When I was a kid,I worked in a car wash.I forgot to hit a button to lift the blower as the car exited the car wash, and ripped the visor off and smashed the flat windshield on a late 40's Chevy.Yeah!
