I finally got around to rippin off the **** "saddle blanket" seat covers that everyone seems to love because I see them everywhere and saw that the seat wasn't nearly damaged as the P.O. said. So my question is how do I repair the seat. I know you can't help without pics atm but i will post some later.
If its not too bad you can cut and glue pieces of foam to fit any holes and then cover the entire top of cushion with a sheet of 1/4" foam, or even better, headliner material (you can buy at fabric store).
Use spray glue made for foam.
You can replace the entire bottom cushion but expensive.
When you go to put your new seat cover on, use zip ties to begin stretching your cover.
Down the length of the pulling edge, use an ice pick to make the holes for the ties (Just behind the reinforcement cord, in the same places you would put a hog ring), and pull tight towards your springs.
Then when everything is centered and stretched tight, use your hog rings to anchor it.
You can pull each tie a little at a time until you get just the right amount of stretch.
