My god those FMO's are huge lol as far as exhausts go do i hook them all up after the cat? and i personally was thinking maybe some just straight dual exhausts but those would come straight from the enigne right? which means no cat and probably more work since i would have to find places to attach the pipes to the truck

That's alright. I know the feeling myself.

I'm hoping to get going on mine this summer, but we'll see. It will happen at some point in time lol.

What sort of tools/area do you have to work in?

If you get a shop to do it, a set of straight pipes, and those FMO's could be put on, in about 3 hrs...And for about $400-ish....Counting the pipe...

i moved from home which was a shop and any tool you could dream up to a house in the city were at most i have a concrete slab and basic tools, so with straight pipes i would just cut every thing down get two FMO's and some pipe? sounds easy enough wish i had the cutting torch though...i suppose i could get a sawsah from someone around here

If you want...To save money...

Just cut the OEM muffler out, and replace it with the FMO....Simple, and easier to do...And can be done with clamps....

Plus, if you have emissions testing, you can pass...

Not yet. I have a cracked passenger side manifold, so I'm just going to go with Long Tube headers, a Hi Flow Cat, then probably a Thrush Turbo Muffler. Going to have duals going out at 45's.

Todays' progress...
  • Replaced my Fuel Filter
And MAN was the old one NASTY....Nice brown coloring as the gas flowed out, etc...

On the initial test drive...I could tell a nice difference...Not as sluggish as she once was...

  • A friend of mine gave me 3-10" MTX 4000 subs, box, and a 2,400w, 4channel Planet Audio amplifier...
  • Wiped my engine bay down, ziptied a few wires up out of the way...
  • Cleaned all my windows really good.
  • Did my monthly vehicle inspection

As for the exhaust...A Sawz-All, and some clamps, and you're in business...

A lift is preferred...Allows more room...

The Borla Stingers are a lot quiter than the Flowmaster Outlaws...

*The FMO's are basically coffee cans...in size...lol..
If the FMO's are louder than Stingers, I don't think I'd want to hear them. I drive a straight piped diesel everyday with the exhaust literally right by my head and love it. I like my vehicles much louder than most people. My Stingers are almost perfect for my taste. Really loud when I want it to be and only kinda loud while cruising. LOL. Much louder and I would throw them in the scrap pile.

Read through these:

I did the walk through for just this reason. To get the color you want either use colored LED's.
