Wish there was more Member's up here ..
Just a dumb Question does anyone here still go camping in a TENT ( YOU With the BIG pimping Daddy Camper DO NOT need to post here LOL)

We like camping but we only have a tent.... maybe do some camping in the Summer? I dont know just hanging out is always good .

Pat, your doing a great job.

GTG are good for face to face meetings.

I would like a cool GTG at a park or something. That way we can BS a for a while, take pictures, and see the trucks (huge SUV in my case) all at the same time.

Stoneycreek, Kensington. Not much of a northerner, but anyone can chime in.

Jasmine already said she can cook.

For the conversation about location of the GTG. Pat can't do everything from his house. If it's going to be a drive for most, then maybe some people that live in the area (of GTG) can do some research and planing as well and just pass along the info.

We have both, well, let say this a little different, we have a tent, and a 17' 1968 Nomad tow behind, what a great trailer. Ugly.. but it hauls well.

I do know that for some weekend gathering and beer drinking we can hang out in Allen Park. The house there has a large back yard, play set for the young kids, and a pool, and horse shoe pits.

Grill out and drink a few cocktails, I'm sure I will be posting weekend playtime when it gets closer to summer.

That would be cool as well..

I like Allen Park, Neat inner city, decent subs.. and as of recent, I think you can have large bomb fires with out harrasment

Now, on a serious note, that is BS they were laying off the whole fire department.

Okay.. but, the name of the thread was "so, how are we doing"

Looking through your comments, I was hoping that you had some form of input to the thread.. Did not know we changed gears and it became "what William was doing"

Again, what I am looking for is a contribution to the thread. We seem to be moving along here, and with the help of the group we should continue to move forward, are you on board.. or what is your thought?

Pat,

I like Alan's ideal of having a GTG at a park, Maybe one of Michigan's many state parks -http://www.stateparks.com/ranger-scripts/states.asp

And your doing a fine job Pat.

Tell you what Mark.. There many State parks around that I havent seen yet.. I am all for that!! And I would love to go back to several that I have seen.

But as Al said, our metro parks are fantastic, I have only hit a couple of them as well.

I think the idea of a date, and a place thrown out there for people to show is the best way, and then hopefully a couple big events..

OR Big Lake ( Crittenden lake) over by Evart is pretty nice its a quieter Park.... but has fishing and Showers ( I LOVE my Showers even if I am camping lol)

Either way it be fun ....lets me know when you guys come up maybe have a BBQ somewhere?

Sometimes the best time can be when you dont plan it
