I have a 93 efi 460. When driving an i give it the gas to get up an move it stalls. I check if the engine gets gas to it by taking a screw driver an pushing on the valve on the fuel line. I also have check for spark my next step is to check the psi of the fuel at the rail with the key on. What other things could cause this any sensor could do this. I can also rev up my truck all the way in park an the truck will not stall.

yea i am going to check but no one will rent the tool so i need to pay a little to get it tested. or do u know any cheap gauge that i can buy not the big fancy ones i would like to be able to get it from a store.
Not the best but you can test it with a tire pressure gauge. make sure it reads over 100 and do it with a cold engine. Also wear safety glasses cause it can spray a small amount of fuel but it will get you the reading.
Ok i took it to a shop to get it tested I got 41 psi with the key turn to the on position. With it running i get 32 psi. My question what should the psi be with it running?
Sometimes a bad / poor ignition coil will "blow out" as you increase the pressure in the comb chamber. It takes way more spark power to jump the gap on the spark plug when the pressures go up in the cc as you open the throttle.

Jeremy, 38# is about normal with vacuum to the pressure regulator. Did you drive the truck with the gauge on the port? I suspect you don't have enough flow when accelerating. Change the fuel filter. If the problem persists, you probably have a bad fuel pump.
I know when the truck was running not driving it was at 32 psi just wondering if that is low yea i just got a new one about 4months ago but it could be a bad one but never ran in to anything like that but it is cheap to get a new one so i will go from there.
32lbs is low I would think, both my tanks run 37-38lbs with the stock FPR... One indication of a bad pump with it running would be the gauge needle bouncing... It should be completely solid at idle...
I had a bad pump in my rear tank not long ago and it was doing the bouncy thing around 35lbs at idle in park, the engine would fall flat on its face just like your describing when I stepped on it under load.. put in a new pump and problem solved...
Ok i am down to a bad fuel pump or a bad fpr i am not sure tho. I got the recall fpr so it is not the stock one. Today i was in my drive way an i started it. It took a couple cranks then it fire up when i gave it the gas in park black smoke came out the tail pipe. Then i put it in drive an the truck die when i gave it the gas. What dose this sound like to you? It dies on both tanks.
LOL dumb move on my part not checking the coil my self an listening to others say it had spark. I check my coil my self an i have no spark from the coil how do i test the coil to see if it is good?
