Good Morning!

I hope we get to miss the snow here today, sound like less than an inch.

I had a pretty good weekend. I got about a 15 minute nap, between working on my Jeep and waiting for everyone to get ready for dinner. It kept getting interrupted.

I went to Menard's to pick up conduit and junction boxes for my garage heater, and I was torturing myself with whether I should start drilling holes in the house or not, but I decided to do a little more research before putting bit to wall. I think some evening this week I will start the first step. My biggest fear is I will be drilling a blind hole and am not entirely certain where it will end up.

Morning Curtis, snowing to beat the band here right now. Is this a hole from the garage to the house?

Yeah, its an attached garage, I will be drilling from the garage side to the basement, and I am hoping to avoid the 220 volt wire to the water heater and the other one to the cooking range which both run in that general vicinity.

Yeah, that would NOT be good to hit those! Can you see the back side coming in at all? Or, are those 220 lines buried in a wall?

I may have to reroute the wires, they run along the back side of where I want to drill. I will shut both breakers off before starting to drill for sure.

Honestly I can't tell where my hole is going to come through, but I have kind of an idea.

Snowing good here now. Started all at once.

Can you cut a square out of the garage dry wall, so you can see what's behind it?

Good morning guys. It was snowing a lot 1/2 an hour ago with huge flakes, but has mostly quit at this point.

Curtis I have one of those 1/2 inch cameras on a cable that plugs into a computer. You can borrow it or I can bring the lap top and we can do a little spying into your wall. I think it has a 16 ft cable.

Morning Del. I have one of the little borescope cameras that you use with your phone. Pretty cool. Quit snowing here, but, it's supposed to start back up later.

Yeah, I will probably just drill through the drywall then take it a layer at a time. I think under the drywall I am going to find wood directly where I am drilling. If I wasn't so lazy, I would walk over to the neighbor's house that is currently being built, and take some measurements.

Oh, now that might be a good plan. Same layout as yours?

Yep! May be better to do it when the ground is frozen, because all around is just a mess of mud right now.

Good morning Kansas! Ended up with 5" of wet, heavy snow. Could have been worse, they had a lot more to the west and north of us.
