Has any one come across a drain on only the left batt on an F250SD diesel ?? Have tryed to find by removing fuses and relays but found nothing, was under impression all circuts where protected . Is there another fuse panel besides hood and under dash ? Wireing diagrms only show fused circuts . Help
I think on my 99' truck the driverside battery cables only go to the passengerside battery no where else.If yours is the same. I would say maybe the battery is bad or going bad thats why it gets drained down.
Had a similar problem a couple of months ago. Both batteries were draining if the truck sat more than a couple of days. Drove me nuts. I finally fully charged both batteries and load tested them individually. The passenger side battery failed the load test (just barely). I didn't think to check the batteries because they were only a year old. I replaced both of them and have not had any problems since. BTW, the batteries are tied together, 2005 F350 C/C.
I had the same problem too this past weekend. The drivers side battery had a bad cell and was only holding 10.5 volts, which was draining the passenger side one down. Two days later, that one died too. Get them both replaced before you take out your alternator too. It'll overwork itself trying to charge them.
