If you go through the trouble of modifying, consider a zf6. Much better gearing.
I know of a guy who runs a 7.3 zf6 with his 460, he tows his car to the track...I've never gotten the opportunity to look under there to see what had to be done.
Does anyone have a pic of 460 and 7.3 pattern side by side?

Thanks for the quick response I was told otherwise before I looked into buyin another truck with 460 that needs transmission so now I'm out two trucks my diesel caught fire and having a hell of a time finding engine harness
