I was thinking about hood pins but they only look good on certain things IMO. Not sure if this buikd would fit in that category. I may cut some holes in this hood and mount my hood pins from my challenger on it and see how it looks if It don't look right it's a junk hood anyways. Mise well try them easier then coming up with a hood latch but probably end up doing a latch because nothing else was easy on this truck.

Ill make sure to take pics of the hood pins it'll be Alittle while as I want to finish my Ic and radiator and piping and mount my t case and clock it. Then it'll be ready to tear back down paint and stick on the goodies. Don't want to put holes in the hood yet and have rain leaking in on my inner fenders/ core support or wherever the holes will be located. I think I got the IC from a 99 super duty but 99-04 are the same but some have plastic on them so stay away from them and get an all aluminum one. I got a universal radiator think its from be cool radiators been awhile since I bought it. I would of used a ford radiator but the inlet and outlet holes are on wrong sides. Now for Alil update. Was missing one t case bracket mount and 2 studs so I got some all thread for the studs and made a temporary mount will probably need to make a new one once I clock it just made this to hang it for now so I can get measurements and ideas for the clocking.

sweet. one more thing down. 343394340454857345873 to go.
thats what it feels like anyways. looking good. so i thought i would ask. what do u think about running a 67 to 72 radiator that was a 4 core. thats pretty large compared to the 2 core most trucks came with. you think that would have enough flow to keep a cummins cool while pulling.

Your right on one thing down and 43784332743 things to do yet. In my case one thing done and 2 steps back as ill be redoing my front crossmember again and try longer shackles in the rear suspension. Also will be replacing my corp 14 bolt rear with another haven't decided on what yet. I want disc brakes and don't want to use eldorado calipers and not really liking the driveline brake as I've heard they have a tendency to overheat for street use. What are you doing for rear brakes?

I was going to use a ford radiator the one I was using for mock up of engine placement came from a 79 f250 with a 460. But the in/out are on wrong sides. There's a pic of it laying under the truck in one of the pics I posted. A 4 row ford radiator should be plenty to cool the cummins I'm thinking. I'm using a small aluminum one compared to the ford rad I wanted to use ill swap it for something else if it can't keep the heat down it was hard finding the right width and have the right size in/out fittings I just wish it was taller and it would be perfect. I took some pics of the rad and IC ill be using. Here's my IC the top tabs with the circle I cut off and relocated to where they are now just got to have a nice non breezy day to fully weld them up.

Overhang of IC fits nice hope it cools the beast enough.

Man I like the work on those front spring mounts, I think the rad is fine the ford ones are steel and yours is aluminum that will make up for the size of it

man lookig good.... ya i think i will try it. and i can always cut the inlet and outlet off and relocate to make it easier. i ran the stock six cyl on my yoda and it keeps the 4bt plenty cool. but that truck doesnt really pull much. but i thing its worth a shot.
how come your going to change your front cross member again.

Highntight what IC are you going to use? I want to redo the front crossmember I just made that one because it was simple design and was shooting for being drivable for winter and didnt want to spend alot of time on it. But now that it turned into a long term project is like to do it again for acouple reasons make it stronger maybe have attachment pieces on it how I originally was going to do it with a trailer hitch and tow hooks and also to give me Alittle bit more lift to clear my ideal tires I'd like to pit on 42" pitbull rockers. Some more pics here's the start to the new crossmember ill be making not sure if ill put a hitch and hooks on it or not yet because I want to make a bumper with a winch and probably just incorporate them into the bumper also. Looking around now for a disc brake AAM 14 bolt rear so more goodies shouldn't be to far away.

Here's the current one measured from bottom of frame to center of leaf spring bolt hole I plan to have it another inch or so lower to give Alil more ground clearance.

man you never stop. lol ya i like the bumper idea... those pitbull rockers are sicko and it sounds like your going to have plenty of room. thats a pretty sick rocket in the background as well.. i have a dodge 2nd gen ic i was going to try but im not opposed to the ford. that think looks good sittin in the front of your truck. ill probably hold the dodge one up to see how it looks for now. but im not stuck on anything at this point.

The rockets my 07 R6 can't wait to break it out usually always on it in the summer. Those rockers are sweet tires but will be salty I think ill hold off they will be my last big item on the list I believe. Found a rear disc brake drum e brake axle trying to work out a deal with the guy trying to trade my corp 14 bolt plus some green for it. Was outside for Alittle today was to cold n windy to do much but got my brackets on the t case and cut new studs for the one side just need to find a way to lift it up that high to get it bolted in so I can start fabing up new brackets to clock it then ill take it out and rebuild it. I tried using the dodge second gen radiator and IC but they both wont fit unless you hack into the inner fenders and the ends will be exposed in the wheel well I didn't like that so I went with the SD IC and universal rad took some pics of the dodge Ic held up to the core support might not be good enough pics to show its interference with inner fenders it could work if flipped upside down but got to worry about your battery room.

Dodge second gen IC can be made to fit but you will chop up half your rad support to tuck it in far enough to leave enough room to trim your grille with my SD IC I need to trim a good bit of the grille inserts any more then what I already need off makes me feel uncomfortable as it will be getting to thin. There was a guy that has a 79 I believe that used the 2nd gen rad and IC but like said exposed to the elements inside the fender wells
