I saw on the first page of this build a picture of the original front axle with those funky Spicer front hubs.........You NEVER see those hubs anymore, They were a pain in the rear on an old GMC i had YEARS ago, they tend to be really hard to turn, not much to grip....I hope you saved them, if they are in good shape, a restorer who wants "period Correct" parts on a total restore might pay a decent price.......They are rather rare, i havent seen a set in years

Looks like a bunch of shiny stuff put to good use.

I think my kingpins had been replaced before....a little heat and they came right out. Lucky me.

Who's axles are you putting in your 60?

Got acouple nice parts to go on it. Can't wait to see it in action. Ugh those kingpins glad I got past that part of the axle build finally. I bought my axle with one side missing everything from knuckle out only thing was the lower bearing race and top kingpin left buried in the dirt for who knows how long before I got it. So it made for a great time getting out as you seen. I went with Yukon chromoly axles would of went another route but didn't want to wait forever to get them. What type of Cosmoline did you buy for your parts I need to pick some up for my parts.

Yea, Superior axle took quite a while. I bought a case of Rust Veto and just put it on the shelf at my store. I'll never need 12 cans.

Next time I'll have to get set up to be a dealer....pricey stuff.

Yea it is pricey stuff but better then cleaning off rust on new parts that haven't even been used yet. What are you using to (degrease) coat the parts when the time comes? I'm deciding what brakes I want to use on the Dana 60. Cheapo parts store junk or is there any big disc brake kits or better rotors and calipers on the market for these?

Adding the twin stick shifters and cable/linkage to the t case turned out great I think. working the sticks this puppy will do me good I'm sure with 7 gear selections. I still need to get new output yokes but I'm not sure what size or type I'll need yet. Got to wait until I get driveshafts setup and made to make that decision. I think I'll need to modify my stock t case crossmember. Since I clocked it I won't have enough room for the top twin stick brackets to tuck into the crossmember. So I'll probably have to cut some notches and rebrace the xmember or who knows maybe a custom new t case mount might be in the future. Being a cable linkage should make mounting the shifters easier then the solid rod old setup.

If I remember a little thinner should take it off pretty easy.

I have a hydro boost setup on my 73(disc/drum) and along with the rear discs, this truck should stop pretty well.

Can't get any work done outside now days. been snowing and it's to cold out so just getting some things cleaned up and gathering parts. Here's my heater box rebuild something I can do indoors. Not sure if I'll even be using it now or not. Might get a vintage air setup type a/c heat. But I can't see doing that anytime soon rather get the more important parts first.

Getting it all back together with the parts I had powder coated. I want to get a new blower motor for it before it's finished.

Transfur cases are not as hard as they all say is it. It looks good where did you get the fill gage? And is that still the 205? You will like front wheel drive.

It's still the np205 t case. I'd like to look into a way to do a nv4500 2wd mated to my 205 and a 203 doubler setup. But not sure if it's possible to convert these parts together or easier starting from scratch on the driveline. Hope it's easy as output on trans and housing and input output of 205 and get a 203 anyone know about doing this setup? Not much to do snowed lately so there's been snow melting and seen this when I woke up. Another snow storm. Here's a diff cover for my Dana 60 made out of 3/8" thick plate. Should hold up to some abuse.

Hell you have been busy.... looking good... your shifter set up is bad a I like it. you heater box is looking good as well.... I have that same diff cover. If your going to get a rear to match I would do it soon. I ordered mine 4 months ago and it just showed up. it took them that long to get around to building more so I'm assuming they built a few and might have more in stock for awhile..... I havent been doing much.... I stop by the once and awhile and stare at it for a bit lol but its just to cold to get the motivation....

I hear you on it being to cold out I been inside as much as possible this year was the worst we had in years. Cold and snow both record setters. I'll have to check into that diff cover. I'll be ordering one for rear axle along with a lift pump and hydro assist and Steering linkage shortly. Any suggestions on lift pumps? I'm deciding whether to go electric or mechanical.

Weather is still keeping me away from any real work being done. Been into some of my other hobbies and wasting crew cab funds on them instead of parts for this beast. I did pick up a new tool that will help me out a lot. Got a bandsaw came with 2 new blades. Got tired of using a cut off wheel or torch anytime I needed something cut those days are here and there now. Took some cuts when I got it home and adjusted it in now it cuts like butter and square. need to rebuild the feed cylinder as it's not consistent. A self stop button and coolant and it should give me years of use. First project I did with it was my hydroboost original setup had the booster to close to firewall to put the screws in easily and brake pedal rod far away from pedal now almost finished up new mount. Just need to test mount it ran out of day light. Time for much needed pics
