Well I took the advice and soaked the bolts on the manifolds for a week and a half. Luckily the weather went shat and I had to wait to work on the truck. The bolts on the driver side came out with my fingers once I broke them loose.
Soaking is the best way to go. I broke four bits today trying to drill out the bolts that I broke. I think I will bring the torch home from the shop tomorrow and carefully blow the bolts out. I have done it before, and it just takes patience. YouTube - mrs1bad's Channel
Those are the easiest ones to reach, remember to center punch them and use a REAL GOOD set of drill bits. Go slow you do not want to break a drill bit off in there.
If you are good with the torch method, go for it, I would not try it my self. Remember to up grade you new hdwr to grade 8 and use plenty of anti-seize on them.
I have heard to use maylox, or other ant-acid, on exhaust bolts. It is not supposed to burn off like anti-seize. Has anyone tried that? Or, is it just another one of those "I know a guy that used to use....."
I just pulled the r/h manifold off of my 360 last week. I might have been over doing it, but after reading all the threads about people breaking their bolts off, I went out twice a day for three days, and soaked all the bolts with PB Blaster. The bolts all came out so easy, that I though sure I had broken them, when I first started loosening them.
