e4od transmission
i have a 92 crew cab long bed 4x4 f-350 recently the automatic tranny went out and i came across a 5 speed out of a 92 extended cab 4x4 f-250 both my truck and the other have 7.3 idi motors and i am curious if anybody know what is needed to swap my automatic out for the manual and if it is a good idea since i still plan to drive this truck as a daily driver. Also i have looked at several other options and am curious if any e4od transmission can be used to replace my current e4od or do i need to get a tranny out of a truck that spacifically had a 7.3 diesel. i was told the bolt pattern from a diesel and gas motor are different any advice is greatly appriciated

As for getting another E4OD, yes, it must be from another diesel truck and must be from a 4x4.
