Does anyone know who was the designer of the 1948 F-Series? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

At the time, Ernie Breech (formerly of Bendix corp.) was Exective V.P. & Gen Mgr under Henry Ford II.

Chase Morsey was head of Product Planning

Roy Hurley headed Engineering

The name of the actual designer/s? - Can't help you.

According to the book "Classic Ford F-Series Pickup Trucks 1948-1956":

"Don Peterson, later chairman of Ford, was also a member of the truck product planning team during the late 1940's--according to [Chase] Morsey." page 10
