Engine won't idle when warm

My 69 has a 460 and a c6 in it. It went all winter on 1 tank of gas. I wasn't planning to park it for the winter but the weather didn't cooperate so it sat. It is 2 wheel drive and won't come up the hill with snow on the ground. Now it doesn't want to idle after it warms up, it starts fine and goes down the road fine but will die at a stop. I put fresh gas in it and a bottle of carb cleaner and it got a little better for a couple of days but tonight it won't stay running at a stop sign again. It kind of surges almost like it has a huge cam in it then dies. It starts right back up but still won't idle. When it is cold it starts and idles fine on the high idle but as the choke opens and it comes off of high idle it dies. If it warms up a little bit tomorrow I'll probably give it a tune-up, but I wondered if you guys had any other ideas.
