Yet Again ...

OK, Truck is running great one minute and starts having like a convulsion and dies . I had this problem happen a month ago and I thought it was low oil pressure since it seems to have something to do with the fuel injection . I changed the oil & filter and it started running great again til yesterday on my way to work.

A few of you have suggested it may be the UVCH (under valve cover harness) . Not some thing I want to do under a tarp in the Pacific NW Rain . I'm not sure it's a CPS thing , I changed that a couple years ago .
Any ideas ? May be time to buckle down and do the UVCH . I just think if it where that it would have acted up more often . but I'm no mechanic .

Sorry to sound like a broken record .. thx in advance for any help or suggestions . Any good Diesel Mechanics in North Seattle area ?

CPS would be something to change that's cheap just to see if cures it. See if there are codes, and if possible hook up a AE or Snap On scanner. JMOP.

It's time to "buckle down". Loose UVCH needs to be ruled in or out. When you look at the connectors check for a burnt center pin and plug. See this THREAD.

Well since I cant find my ODM reader I'm running it to a local auto parts store that helped my dad with his dodge codes . I bought the CPS yesterday and I'm going to change it out and try that before I touch the UVC connectors . I'll save it for last as I've not seen any dash lights come on when it stalls out and I'd rather hope to do that work on a day I'm not under a tarp in the rain .... It says to use motor oil or vasaline on the CPS before sticking it in ... I used motor oil last time ... try Vasaline this time .. or is there some thing better to use ... any other helpfull thoughts ... LOL ... thx for all the help guys ...always MUCH appreciated ..

Local auto parts house readers don't read Ford Advanced diesel codes. Their readers are virtually worthless as they apply to our trucks.

So don't expect to see much if you go that way.

You'll need access to a reader that can do "Ford Advanced".

Also might be your fuel pump getting ready to go out, just something to look at.
