preformance question
hello, im new to this site, the person that i got my truck from said he had ford change some settings either on the trans or computer, because the truck was too fast. does anyone have any idea what he might be talking about? 1999 f350 duely 410 gears.

I don't have a clue what you are talking about. If he has a 7.3 in that dually, I can promise you the stock truck is not fast. I think I would ask more questions with this guy. I hope you didn't just buy this thing.

thanks for the reply, the truck was a gift from my step dad, nice huh. 96000,00 miles real nice shape, and my first diesel. drove diesel trucks for work but never an auto and never cared how they ran, now i want the best preformance i can get, i think im going to leave mostle stock because of budget!!! i think it should have a small increse in hp. though, and i will do that according to what i read on this site. my step dad probable don't know what we is talking about when he said ford modified the truck to go slower. what im trying to do it increse hp/ on a budget i guess!

Check to make sure there isnt a wooden block glued to the underside of your gas pedal preventing it from going all the way to the floor. This type of mod would prevent it from being to fast guaranteed.------sorry I couldnt resist....
