I have the adjustable pushrod , with the #1 cylinder in tdc whats supposed to be the gap (lash) at the valve to rocker arm?

I don't know if it makes a difference the block numbers are for a 61 or 62 block and heads are for the 72. Having the shortest rods made for the motor I can only go up. Hehe

There were no 390 GT's available prior to 1966, no 390's in cars after 1971.

1958/64 FE engines were only installed in cars, have rounded valve covers without holes for oil cap/smog valve. Have an oil fill tube on the right front side of the engine.

These engines have a different bolt pattern on the block for the rubber insulators than 1965/76 FE engines (1965/71 cars/1965/76 F100/350).

Yes you are exactly right about the motors differences. The truck came out with a 360 fe originally my father blew the motor and put another motor back in it. He was buying what he thought was a 390 but when i pulled the pan the crank told me other wise. That's why I say the # on the block are saying the block is a 390 block from 1961 with 360 crank and pistons. I appreciate the chart , but my motor is a mix match .

On sale day, 360's magically become 390's!

Exactly, if I ever tear it down again I may just make it into a 410 and say to heck with it.
