Installing door lock actuators
I just bought 2 new door lock actuators for my 91 F150 and having trouble reinstalling the new ones. I drilled out the rived and have the old one out but what is used to remount the new one. The Biggest rivits I have found so far is 3/16 and these just pull thru the holes. Looked at using a bolt but not much room between the bracket and the motor for a nut to fit. Anyone have any experencie with what to use. By the way, if you are looking for these actuators, found a place on line http://www.windowmotorstexas.com./

I believe they are a special rivet from the dealer for that size, but if it's not too late for the other size, try twisting the old one out of the bracket and fishing it through the linkage. I've been able to chnage them on Mustansg in a matter of minutes this way, and the trucks look about the same to me.
