just thought i'd post some pics of my truck,getting ready for race season so had a roll cage built for it,then had to remove in cab tank and used a bronco2 tank and mounted it in between the frame rails.truck is a 74 f 250
Watch your shins/knees on that bar below the dash... It would hurt!

Not bashing the work at all, but "tight" to me would go behind the dash.
When I cage my '74 supercab I will be cutting out the inner sheet metal and doing my 2" cage and then tacking the inner sheet metal back in. There is TONS of room behind that stuff in these trucks.
My ranger was kind of done this way, minus the putting the inner sheet metal back in as it was going to be a race truck...
