I'd like to put some classy fog lights on my 2000 F-150 Lariat. Has anyone had any luck finding something that works? I am afraid it will take cutting into the front bumper to mount them and I am too much of a klutz to do that. Anyone had an auto shop install any? Thanks
I my 94' I had some el cheapo fog lights from Walmart for $20 a set, had to drill into the bumper to install them only to figure out they didn't illuminate much of anything except the dark space between the front of the truck and the area the stock headlight beams usually illuminate. I ripped em out when the power switch melted from improper grounding.
On my 97' Lariat I put a set of chrome trimmed driving lights from Walmart, they were small enough to fit in the opening in the bumper, drilling required of course. They too didn't illuminate much but looked so good I left them on even after I took out the switch and wiring.
i bought a pushbar at last years carlisle swapmeet. when i came home i found it was an s-10 pushbar. but it came w/ some k/c foglights. so i just replaced the h3 bulbs and drilled some holes in my bumper and wired them to a switch then to the battery and they still work even in the roughest of weather. i also silicone caulked the wire hole in the back of the base to make them waterproof.
