My Truck's Pulling Left Issue
OK, took the truck back to the dealer today after they got the parts in. They replaced just about all of the front brake components (calipers, shoes, pads, etc.). They said Ford wanted everything shipped back to them for analysis. However, once all that was done, they drove the truck and it was still pulling left. So they took a set of stock wheels/tires from another truck (used - older tires) and put them on my truck.
They called me and sent a shuttle to my work to pick me up and take me back to the dealership. They said, "take it for a ride with the stock tires on." I took it for a quick spin down the highway and it was straight as an arrow. I couldn't believe it after everything that had been done, it came back to the tires. No one could figure it out because they switched the tires left to right, front to back and still the exact same pull. So I had multiple tires with a "radial pull."
So I bought the tires from another shop (Discount Tires). The dealer let me take the truck with the stock tires on it to the tire shop. I explained the history to them (they had tried the different rotations a few months ago). I offered to let them take it for a ride and they said it wasn't necessary. They replaced all 4 tires (35" Nitto Trail Grapplers) for free. And the old ones had just under 11,000 miles on them.
I was thorughly impressed with both the dealer and the tire shop. So I got a complete new front brake set up and brand new tires for free. A lot of headache along the way, especially with the other dealer who after 3 visits said everything was fine when the truck would dart left on the freeway....
Anyway, so it turns out the pull had nothing to do with the truck. However, they did reconfirm that there is a TSB about the caliper issue. If any of you suspect anything, just jack up your front and and try to turn your tires by hand. If they won't spin or are very difficult to turn, you may have the same issue.
Man, it felt good to drive the truck home after the new tires and finally not have to hold the steering wheel 1/8 of a turn right to go straight.
Thanks,
One happy guy tonight.

And I didn't get the paperwork yesterday. They were still completing everything necessary to send to Ford and I needed to get to the tire shop, but they said they'll mail it to me. Once I get it, I'll copy the detail in here.
