Why is it that after a 99 or 2000 sets for about two weeks the batteries are drained and one has to jump the trucks to get them started.
I have a 99 that did it and a friends 2000 has the same problem.
Mine did it years ago and I took it to the Ford dealer (who is not around anymore) and paid $800.00 to have some electrical componet changed out down by the emergency brake. That was suppose to fix the problem. But it did not.
Somebody please tell me what the problem is!

I don't think all 99 or 2000 PSD have that problem. My 99 has never had that problem. I have lost a alternater before. Theres no charging meter, it only shows whats in the system. Therefore when driving it will go down slowly till your out of juice. Good luck, I hate electrical problems, I'm not really good at them. Chet
