PARTS SOURCE

I ran across this website this morning and thought many of you may be interested in it if you're hunting parts.

MyPartShop.com - Used Car Part Search from Hollander a Solera Company

146,277,438 used parts available? Uh huh.

With that many parts available, My Parts Shop is tied into the nationwide autowreckers computerized hotline.

When you ask them for something, they type it into the hotline, then sit back and wait for the results.

Bill, did you try it? If you enter a part search - it does come back with a listing of places/phone numbers that supposedly have the part. I have no idea whether it is accurate or not, but it would sure be easy to find out. Just do a search and make a phone call.

Don't need any 'ol parts cuz I don't have any more 'ol rolling piles of misery...except the '34 Packard V12 and I doubt they'll have any parts for it.

I was at my fav-or-ite wrecking yard recently (it would be your fav-or-ite too...if you lived here), was sittin' in the office watching the computer screen.

100's of requests rolled by for parts for sale and wanted.

Now that's pretty ironic - the FORD parts guru not needing any parts!! You, of all people, need to have a FORD to work on. And you're right - I would doubt there are many Packard V12 parts on any website.

I have a Ford to work on, sorta (see sig). Just bought the elephantine behemouth, so it doesn't need much except wax and gallons of regular gasoline (at 4 bucks a pop Welcome to California!)

Try car-parts.com. Same thing. Really cool.

Hey Bill ya should let me have the Packard. I'll give her a good home.

Almost bought a 40 back in 2000. For 5k. It ran and drove perfectly.
Did need some fresh paint and the upholstery was mildew stained.
