I could use some help...... I had my 2003 F250xlt 6.0 ina small shop for an EGR/Oil cooler. They seemed to have fixed the oil cooler leak but when they put my turbo back on it doesnt run the same. I lost all power, it makes a hissing sound, intermittently surges, failes to spool up at times, and trying to get to work was a challenge. It puffed black smoke, kept making puffing under the hood when it would surge, has no power, and bucks the truck when kicking in and out. The small garage said it needed to "relearn" it self" What a joke. It is horrible. The continue to tell me I must need a NEW turbo. It worked just fine before I brought it to them.
Does this sound like it needs a turbo or does it sound more like a problem the way they reinstalled it. I have brought it back 3 times. I have decided to take it to Ford garage in the morning. I was trying to avoid Ford labor and high prices. Anyone have any ideas what could have caused this issue? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks Ron
