1988 BII engine swap question.
so i am looking to swap out my 2.9 liter for a 302. i found a kit that just bolts into the holes that are already there...but my question is does anyone know if the transmission that is in it will bolt right up to it or would i have to find a different trans? if i am not mistaken i have a FM146 trans in it right now. it is a 4 speed with overdrive manual.

Advanced Adapters should make a bellhousing for 302/351w to all the stock manual trans. used in Bronco II/Ranger in those years. If you do not beat the snot out of them, the FM146 and Toyo Kyogo TK-4/5 trans will hold up behind a 302.
