The last few days ive been reading around trying to find headers that will FOR SURE fit my 351w in my 79 f100 2wd (auto). Ive read somewhere that shorty headers for a 95 f150 and also mid 80s mustangs will fit.. Has anyone used these headers and an anyone confirm this? its a one shot deal with the headers I cant return them. Thanks
I was thinking either of these 2: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-G9035/?rtype=10 or http://www.summitracing.com/parts/BBK-1511/
I do not see any way of fitting longtube headers between the frame and engine on the passenger side. I may tackle this again this coming weekend on mine. I have A/C which really cuts down the room also. I am either going to run shorties or stock manifolds. Some say it is possible with a set of block huggers, but I have not seen it done yet.
Yeah I gave up on the long tubes ..I am settling with shorties I just want to make sure that they will fit before I spend a few hundred on them (the cost of getting them shipped to Canada through summit will more then likely be more then the cost of the headers themselves)
I think the shorties will be fine. I have a set of factory mustang ones and can not find them. Check your local junkyard for a set from the lincoln mark VII's or mustangs. Fit them and then go from there.
