Question Can This Be True?????

I was out today and had just filled the tank to a little over 1/2. pulled away from the pump and saw the sign for a CAT Certified truck scale. Sence i'm gonna be pullin a travel trailor, i figured it would be nice to know how much the X weighted. so with me, the wife and 1/2 a tank of fuel would u believe, 8060 lbs!!!! can that be right? does the old gal weight that much? thats 4 ton.
any thoughts on this.

oh by the way, payed 1.59.9 per gallon for diesel today

Can This Be True?????

That probly is true. I was talking to Michelin about air presure for my new Michelin tires and they had me weight my rig at all four corners. If you can belive it it weighed 1800# at 3 corners but the right rear weighted 20 or 40#'s more. That was with no one in the truck and an empty cargo area. I think it might have had a half tank of gas. Michelin said I could run 45psi at all 4 corners unless I'm hauling something. The Michelins are load rang "E". One step up from originals.

Ummm, you're not going to let your wife see this, are you? If she knew you were talking about her like that... then...

Just funnin with ya. Regarding the weight of the X, I would not be surprised at that at all. My V10 weighs a little less due to the lighter engine, but not much. My wife on the other hand, er, nevermind!

Talking Can This Be True?????

Don't be concerned, the beast dry curb is 7124, 22 gallons at about 6 lbs per adds another 150, rear sway bar adds 50, etc not bad....By the way I pull an 8K trailer 33 foot long with no problem maintaining highway speed.
Alos feeels great to pass all those Duramax Chebbies and Suburbans. Full ooad coming home from Md one and dusted a chevy pulling a 25 foot trailer.

Good luck with her, you are now one of the Big Dogs.
