Lost title options

Several years ago I bought a 1967 f100 and didn't put the title in my name. I've since lost the title and want to sell the truck.

Does anyone know how I could figure out who the truck is titled to? I've had it at least 10 years and it's not been registered. Any help would be appreciated.

It cost about $100-200 to get a bonded title done in Texas. Send lawyer check and whatever paperwork you have and a few weeks later you have a clean title in your name.

Thanks, I'd never heard of that. Good to know.

I'm trying to find the title owner to see if I can pay them to get a lost title.

I'm in the middle of doing one right now. Bought a truck that had a title from Missouri that was signed by the seller to a buyer who then sold it to someone, who sold to someone, who then sold it to the guy I bought it from. All I had was that title and a bill of sale from the guy I bought it from. Took those to a guy in Taylor and two weeks and $200 later I have a bonded title I have to bring to the county courthouse so I can get the truck a real Texas title

I actually just got the title in the mail today. I applied for a title history, found the title holder and looked him up, called and asked for his help. I gave him $75 for his trouble and they printed out a new title on the spot. Such a great relief!
