fuel sender issue
Help me out with this one... My forward tank always shows empty on the gauge, my rear tank works fine. I pulled the tank, pulled the sender and plugged it in without the tank. It worked. So I figured it got stuck or something but just to make sure i checked continuity and resistance, they both seemed correct. Put it all back together (lined up the arrows)with fresh fuel and gauge shows empty again.
What am I missing?

I wouls saya a bad wire between the front tank, and the fuel selector valve. The back tank gauge works, so that tells me the wire is good from the selector to the dash. the FFS is located in the drivers side frame rail at the rear of the cab.
