Which injector code is best for her?

Hey guys,

I am going to replace my injectors and I am seeking advice from the panel on which code I should go with.

Here is what I know.

About 6 months ago I bought my 93 F250 2wd drive x-cab with 234k mi. It was all original except the PO says he installed a banks sidewinder and exhaust, except he couldnt answer many questions about it! The motor was siezed when I bought it, but I picked it up for $1,500.00 bucks. The PO didn't know much about the truck, he says bought it from a relative... The body is straight, the interior is decent, The tranny (E40D) was rebuilt by a shop 10k ago with reciept, and I figured the Turbo was worth close to that alone. A no brainer! I picked up an IDI block which suposedly had 191k mi on it for $500.00 bucks and swapped it out myself. (first engine swap in 15 years, and first diesel ever! That was interesting) I used the pump from the siezed motor and the injectors from the new one, and I have no idea how many miles are on either. I figure the injectors are probably original if the 191k miles are accurate. The pump, who knows, except someone took real good care of this truck for a good period of time.

After working out all the bugs, and, new return line kit, new starter, new water pump, new radiator (with ELC), new tach sensor, and tested and verified working glow plugs. She is running great! Recently though, She has been smoking a lot at start-up. I had some air intrusion through the fuel heater electrical connection, which I replaced, and one bad glow plug which I also replaced. She starts great, first turn, but smokes white for about 30 to 45 seconds then clears up and runs perfect when warm. She doesn't use any coolant, and burns minimal oil for 191k miles. (I haven't quantified it but I am driving a lot of highway miles right now and add a quart about once every couple to three weeks) I plan on keeping this truck for a long time, and with a great deal of help from this forum, have tried to do her right. I try to use the reccommended parts when I can, and always buy new over rebuilt, when possible. (IE: water pump, starter, tach sensor, etc) So here is what I am thinking.

I have no idea how many miles are on the pump or injectors. I can't really afford a new pump right now but the injectors are do-able. I am getting about 15.5 to 16 highway MPG, which I think I can improve. I plan to purchase Pensicola injectors, and then have my pump timed. Can I get some feedback on injector codes and timing for fuel economy from the group, as well as things I might want to check while into her. After all none of us knows more than all of us right! I don't have a lot of money to spend, but I understand that cost is relative!

I appologize for the book I have written, but I constantly read posts where people are asking for more info, so I have tried to be thorough.

Thanks in advance,

Macgyver.

Go with BB code injectors. I would go with new, if you can afford them, as they are not that much more than rebuilts.

Lie he said BB codes, and most rebuilts are crap ,and if done right are going to cost more than new ones.

I do sell matched sets of BB codes, new Delphi brand, pm me if interested.
