Down under GTG

Greeting all, today saw the first GTG of the Australian Chapter of the FTE.

We had 6 trucks from 3 states.

2 trucks were stock, 2 had 38R's. There was plenty of information and good fellowship exchanged.

https://picasaweb.google.com/SSSimon...SCanberra2011#

We are hoping to make the next one bigger and better.

Regards,
Simon

NICE! Good looking trucks too! Glad to see a group of enthusiasts get together for no other reason than to hang out and meet each other.

I really like those brush guards!

Good deal Simon!! I am glad that the Australian chapter is doing well. I have to admit that I am jealous of the "greenery" there. It is still cold and somewhat dismal here still.

Nice looking trucks! Glad you guys were able to get together.

Was there a classic car gathering there in the park?

Hi all, thanks for your replies. We made the GTG to be part of the Shannon's car show.
The glimpse of vehicles behind is the Historic and antique display area.

It's just turned the start of Autumn here, the trees leaves will soon be dropping. Canberra is renowned for it's greenery.

Me too! Is that a custom job, or was it built from an off-the-shelf starting point?

Chris.

Hi, antennas are for UHF 2 way radios. It was great as I think everyone had their radios tuned to channel 38 while homeboy Simon me drove at the head of the convoy and transfixed listeners with a general diatribe regarding our scenic route around central Canberra including a gem of knowledge that willow trees transpire 7 times the water of eucalyptus trees!

Them 'brush guards' over here are called 'bull-bars' or 'roo-bars' depending on what you hit.

It was a great w/e. I've got my truck related spending planned out now, 4" turbo back, 38R and DP tuner. I reckon I'll be happy with that...
