Head gasket problem......HELP!!
I got my heads set back on and torqued. Tried to spin the engine over by hand as Cheezit suggested and goes all the way around then bang....sounds like it hits something and stops. Sounds like drivers side bank. #5 perhaps??? I read your post in another thread about #5. What is this stopage? Is it the lifter itself? What is the remedy and where should I go from here?

Drivers side bank would be 2-4-6-8 so #6 maybe? Check the valve train very carefully. It may be that you have a pushrod out of whack or it may be that a lifter is hydraulically pumped up. Give it some time while you're checking all the valve train and then try it again (unless you find another problem).
